Hidrovia Report, Wetland Hydrology, Wetland Conservation, Dr. Victor Miguel Ponce

This report documents a study of the hydrologic and environmental impacts of the proposed Paraná-Paraguay waterway on the Pantanal of Mato Grosso, Brazil, the largest remaining wetland in the world. While the focus of the report is on the South American wetland, the comprehensive treatment of geological, geomorphological, hydrological and ecological topics makes this report required reading for all students and professionals interested in wetland conservation.
