Dear Juan Pablo:
I am pleased to offer you a 13-week summer internship appointment in the San Diego State University Civil Engineering Visualab, beginning May 20, 2002, and ending August 16, 2002. The position is titled "Civil Engineering Student Intern" and carries no compensation or benefits.
Your duties will be to assist Mr. Ampar V. Shetty in work related to the research project entitled "Three issues of sustainable development in the Ojos Negros valley, Baja California." You will also be expected to fulfill any duties which Mr. Shetty or I may assign you, including computer coding, website development, library research, field work, and related research activities.
The hours of work are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, for a total of 40 hours per week.
